About the Artist

Elizabeth Sullivan

I love to paint aliveness – the graceful and powerful motion of running horses, the stealth of a cat, the curious pecking of chickens. I get inspiration from many things around me, but the styles of art that have most influenced me are primitive cave and rock paintings (not so primitive from my viewpoint) and a style of oriental painting executed quickly, expressing the subject with few lines. At heart I have always been an artist. I have been a professional artist (that is, I live by my brush) for more than 20 years. I do many kinds of art, but specialize in watercolors and murals. I’ve painted more than 50 murals as public art and for private patrons. I no longer travel due to my disability which requires oxygen. I am grateful for this show.
