About the Artist
Clare Sierra
Clare Sierra graduated from Luther College with a degree in art. She worked in art-related fields until her stroke in 2002. She used painting as a means of rehabilitation and had to learn how to paint with her left hand. Some of her favorite subjects are animals and plants. Clare says, “I had a natural ability and love of drawing as early as elementary school. I've created art ever since then. I especially love working with oil paints.”
