About the Artist

Nancy Knauer

Creating art allows me to connect with nature, and other human beings, and to a quiet, centered strength. After receiving a diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease in 2018, I discovered that photography gave me a sense of stillness I had lost due to the tremors that medications have been unable to ease. I am slowly learning patience, to wait for the light to teach me about lines and form, and to relax into the rhythms of the natural world. Through my work, I hope to share those moments of peace.
