About the Artist

David Wright

I was born with Trisomy 8,a rare chromosomal abnormality causing mild developmental disability and moderate to severe language deficit. I use my art to communicate. I have been drawing three-dimensional figures since I was three years old. I have been at the Interact Gallery since my early 20's. There I work on drawing and painting and help exhibit work in the gallery. I learned to use Photoshop Elements on my own time. I draw my pictures and scan them into my computer where I can add color and other details to creat my prints. "Try It On" is a good example. Since I love design and clothes, I created whimsical outfits for my 2020 entry. My other interest is photography where I am able to capture my subject quickly, usually with a single shot.
