Jennifer Scott
“From broken and lost; to purpose and identity – my work is a visual diary of reinventing myself and rebuilding my life.” Jennifer Scott is a mostly self-taught artist, located in Chicago, Illinois. Her love of art was evident from an incredibly early age. However, it wasn’t until a life-altering illness left her bedridden and searching for her lost identity, that her childhood passion for art was reborn. Through various phases of artistic expressions and processes, Jenny has found healing and transformation. While the artist likes to tackle an array of subject matter, she is most inspired by the beauty of creation. Jennifer will often attempt to personify elements of nature, with expressions of shared human experience and emotion. The artist loves the play between darkness and light within a composition, and how focusing on the details of nature causes one to pause, take notice, and deeply appreciate the gifts of beauty around us.
