About the Artist
Jane Anderson
In October, 2012, my husband, Roger, and I had just finished a month of volunteering at an English learning school in Bangkok, Thailand, when we were involved in a tour bus accident in a mountainous area outside of the city. I ended up on the dashboard of the bus, looking up at the trees. I knew immediately that I was paralyzed. Amazingly, I never wanted to be dead! I am classified as a tetraplegic; with no use of my legs or torso and limited use of my arms and hands. I have trouble seeing the little steps on my life's journey. Painting is helpful to see concrete proof of the forward steps. I use a splint on my hand to hold the brushes. The drawings are free-hand, although, I do need a photograph to look at! I do not know why God has put me here, but I do know he doesn't expect me to just sit around!
