Based on my research, the pigments in flowers have increased in response to climate change. Color changes can affect pollinators since they are attuned to established patterns of the flowers, and could cause them to over look the flowers, therefore, decreasing pollination.

About the Artist

Diana Eicher

I have been a practicing artist for over 35 years. My early years of my life were spent with one major disability: severe migraines since age 7. As I got older, I developed depression, anxiety, ADHD, and panic attacks. I developed two more conditions a few years ago: bone on bone arthritis and fibromyalgia. I had several ankle surgeries and used many adaptive devices. A great deal of my recovery, and post-recovery process, I became severely depressed with shame that my body could not I do what I thought I would be able to do after having surgery. “Shame is the big killer of us. Shame and isolation, not our particular disability.” Cheryl Marie Wade, artist and disability activist. My sister encouraged me to express myself and my pain through my art work and it was cathartic way for me to work through my feelings. I became inspired by artists with disabilities who were producing meaningful work. I am also inspired by fashion and fashion magazines, nature, color, and light.
