About the Artist
Judy Lewis
Judy began drawing as a child with her first exhibit at age 11. In 2017 she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Surgery left her paralyzed. Though there were many technical difficulties, the trauma improved her art. Her style is a blend of Representational and Impressionism that tends towards landscapes, floral still life and animals. She also specializes in creating miniature paintings. Her work has won awards and is sold throughout the United States and internationally. She is passionate about involving the community and promoting art through seminars, free demonstrations and teaching art. Through High Desert Artists she is part of a group who teach seniors how to paint in weekly sessions. She has also curated several of the Mountain Artists Guild's Miniature Art Shows.
