About the Artist
Cathy Pregmon
I am a 77 year old artist who has been a teacher, theater director, consultant and trainer for Special Education. I have been deigning jewelry for about the past 30 years. As a person who is legally blind in my right eye I have no depth perception therefore I rely on color, texture and shapes to design my jewelry. Because of my disability I do not work with any kind of fire and have been a "stringer" when designing jewelry the entire time I have worked in jewelry. I find artistic pursuits to be empowering and terribly important to the quality of my life.
