About the Artist

Chad Knutson

Chad Knutson is a drawing‑based artist whose work reflects transition, persistence, and deep internal exploration. After a neck injury ended a long career in photography and videography, and a later autism diagnosis reframed personal understanding, drawing became a central form of expression. Living with chronic pain, creating art offers a way to communicate experiences that resist language. Repetition, intricate mark‑making, and sustained focus shape the work, allowing meaning to emerge gradually. Art is practiced daily, supporting identity through change. Chad’s drawings do not offer easy interpretation, instead inviting viewers into contemplative spaces where complexity is honored and personal truth unfolds quietly on the page.
