About the Artist
Dakotah Simonson
I am a painter and drawer. I paint interesting environments and animals with acrylic paint. I also enjoy sketching macabre stuff occasionally. I am a lover of the ocean and other oddities in nature. I find these oddities grounding. They make me happy and at ease. My art is a reflection of how I connect with the natural world?both its beauty and its strangeness. I am currently trying to evolve and adapt to the changing times, and I use my creative practice as a way to process that experience. I hope my art will encourage others to do the same: to embrace change, find meaning in the unexpected, and remain open to growth.
