About the Artist

Jace Laakso

Laakso is a printmaker and sculptor. His print work explores landscapes and architectural elements paying attention to relationships between form, shadow, light and negative space, and how atmosphere affects a viewer’s perceptions. He’s currently working in limited editions of reduction relief printing, a process that utilizes a single block for several individual colors. Laakso received a BFA from the University of Montana with emphases in Printmaking and Metalwork/Sculpture. His work has shown in galleries and museums in Minnesota, New York, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Florida, California, Arizona, Washington, Wyoming and Montana
