About the Artist
I am an artist with a passion for working in various media. I am inspired by the fabric of my life and the society in which we live. My art is a gift which comes from a higher place of inspiration, where I visualize pieces: I want it to touch people, transmit hope and be uplifting to the human spirit. I have studied for many years with renowned Sculptor, Peter Lupori, who was a Professor of Art at St. Catherine University for 45 years. I worked with Peter individually, and at the Northern Clay Center in Minneapolis, MN. I have also studied with Sculptors Vi Runquist, Vern Holmberg and Nick Legaros, who studied with Sculptor Paul Granlund. In 2017, I was chosen to participate in the Women’s Art Institute at St. Catherine University, St. Paul, MN in collaboration with the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Minneapolis, MN. I had a stroke which was due to a work-related car accident. I've been working on recovery and my art has helped immensely.
