About the Artist
Samuel Dietze
My career as an artist began along with an interest in astronomy and creating space themed paintings. Along the way I became interested in painting outdoors. The two styles are complimentary and influence each other. I work in acrylics while painting outside and in oils while painting at home. I usually work on small paintings outside, smaller than about 18x24. I'm not able to drive, and travel around on foot or bicycle looking for interesting things. I get inspired by color and light and being attracted to colorful plants and trees. Color perception doesn't seem to be effected by my disability.
