About the Artist

Gerard Di Falco

Photography—and the reinterpretation of scenery—is strategic in my printmaking process. I employ images from my own photos as well as others from university, museum, and historic archives. My subjects include architecture, sacred geometry, folklore, archaeology comparative religion & cinema—areas that fuse humanity with nature. I employ intaglio & aquatint techniques on my zinc plates, which are etched in many Nitric acid baths. I strive to pull viewers into scenes that investigate and balance dream-realism with physical realism, a process I term, “The Phenomenology of Perception”.
