I had a stroke in the early 2000s that left me with difficulty speaking (aphasia) and affected the right side of my body. I met a fellow stroke survivor who introduced me to the art of pottery, and I?ve been working with clay ever since. At first, I used pottery to help improve dexterity in my right hand, and I?ve seen the positive benefits over time. I?ve also discovered the joy and satisfaction of creating something beautiful and useful from a simple lump of clay!
