Kauri Voss is a 34-year-old creative spirit originally from Chicagoland who has journeyed through Portland, Oregon, and now finds her home in vibrant Charlotte, North Carolina. After an 11-year hiatus from sculpture since high school, she?s excited to share her first piece, a testament to her artistic rebirth. Kauri navigates life with bipolar disorder, panic disorder, major depression, and dependent personality disorder, but she transforms her challenges into a canvas for expression. Art is her lifeline, offering not just escape but also a path to discovery?whether it?s jamming on bass with a touring band, diving into graphic design, or crafting intricate macram?. Through her creations, Kauri believes in the powerful mantra: the opposite of depression is expression.
