About the Artist
Mark de Gruchy
Mark de Gruchy is a graphic designer, a sociology graduate of UNC-Charlotte. Raised by a single mother and inoculated by prescribed medications throughout his youth and early teens; Mark never though he could live a normal life. Normal? Normal in the sense of completing high school, yet alone obtain a Master's degree from UNC-Charlotte. Normal in the sense of being able to contribute to his local community, yet alone though mentoring youth at Center 360 or acting as a technology tutor at Char-Meck Public Library. Normal in the sense of being a loving partner to someone also struggling with mental health issues. Life is full of obstacles that we cannot control. Mark believes it is important to allow things to occur but control our reaction towards them. We're all in life together. We're all going to be fine.
