Janel Jenkins
Janel often works from her imagination, as well as images she finds online using Pinterest and other platforms. She is inspired by anime and the tv show "Doctor Who." She has many creative hobbies, especially sewing projects like sewing her own clothes and dolls. Janel has exhibited her intricate and lush handmade dolls in “Kandy Kultur” at Core Arts Center (Denver, CO). In her free time, Janel enjoys going to church and working with horses through the Horse Ministry. She loves creating and wearing cosplay and enjoys visiting the Renaissance Festival.. "Making my dolls is very fun and it’s very special. I get to create my own characters and versions of favorite characters from other media. I want the audience to say "ooh and aah" when they see my dolls - I want them to be impressed and enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoy making them. I'm proud to be a woman and an artist!"
