About the Artist
My name is Kathryn Tabor. I am a woman who lives with mental health challenges. I grew up in rural Minnesota with a large family on a active hobby farm. I moved back to Minneapolis which is home to me for several decades now. The art objects I create are made to entertain. They often incorporate creative humor and take unexpected turns. I paint with watercolor, acrylic and mixed media. I do photography. I do collage that often has a 3D aspect. I won 3rd place in mixed media at artability under the name Kata. I have had items in the 2019 and 2020 art of possibilities show-sometimes under Kata. I have had work displayed at the central library, the U of M medical library and the family justice center and a government office. I have a item in the tiny gallery in Minneapolis. I hope to live the best life possible.
