Drifting

Using two or three pour techniques have blended colors to give a deep sense of liquid flowing and that we are as a society drifting in time. The turbulence of the energy manipulated with tools, allowing the paint to fall off the edges and search for a few "cells" within the painting.
About the Artist
Karen Wood
My art began young while watching my Mom paint in the 60’s. An art teacher almost made me give up, but Mom taught me to push through obstacles. In 1994, I was a single parent, caring for two daughters and living with chronic pain. Art kept me alive. A friend called me Armchair Artist; everywhere I sat, I drew on my art pad. In 2018, I managed my pain with diet and it gave me hope. My new challenge is recovering from 23 years of muscle atrophy and now osteopenia, as well as lingering effects from lymes and traumatic brain injury. I tire and need to take frequent breaks to rest. ART guides me, supports me, allowing me to imagine a better life. For all who struggle, just don't quit!
Art on display at Courage Kenny and online gallery.
