Sam Dietze
Sam Dietze is an outdoor painter whose work is shaped by movement, observation, and adaptation. Living with a significant visual impairment that limits transportation, Sam travels on foot, by bike, or with help from others to paint plein air landscapes. Acrylic paint serves the process well, drying quickly and allowing small‑scale works to be completed in changing environments. Painting outdoors has been central to Sam’s practice for over thirty-five years, offering freedom and creative independence. Despite obstacles to exhibiting work, Art of Possibilities stands out as an accessible and welcoming opportunity to participate fully. Sam’s paintings reflect a deep love of place and a commitment to continuing creative life through ingenuity and perseverance.
