Naema Aden

I had a stroke and got hydrocephalus from it back in 2020. I am so thankful to be alive and sharing my pieces. Given my stroke, I couldn?t work but I found meaning in the next adventure of being a student to become a therapist with an expressive arts focus at Adler Graduate School. I have been working with an art therapist weekly and have been using art as a way to experience that I have never been broken. All of my pieces were completed slowly over many months to capture different parts of my story. Art has been an amazing outlet for me to process my emotions. I hope these pieces find meaning in your heart. I want to take this last step to let go of these parts because these are memories. My stroke has been a gift that won?t stop giving and I would like to share that.
