Annie Hickman
I have been interested in photography since I was a little person growing up in Cleveland. As kids, we got to take classes at the Cleveland Museum of Art, and one of the first ones I remember was a class where we made sunprints. I have been able to bring photography into my teaching, and it is a key component of having a good quality of life as I deal with a progressing degenerative neurological disorder. I am inspired everywhere I go and I am always taking pictures in my mind even if I don't have a camera with me! I love the play of light and shadows, textures, and unexpected patterns made by the most mundane things. There is constant beauty around us always, and it is fun to catch it in a picture!
