About the Artist

Susan Fink

At 49 I was able bodied, enjoying the outdoors with my family, but on January 1, 1999 I fell cross country skiing. My spinal cord injury affected both my arms and legs and changed my family’s lives. I needed to find different ways to live with my body. Even though I had no artistic ability I took a watercolor class and just kept going. Now I often engage with other people and nature through drawing and watercolor. I’ve begun to focus on the outdoor adventures I’ve had recently in my art. With the help of others, most of the thing I want to do are possible. For that I am grateful.
