Barbara Page
"My name is Barbara Page, and I live in Belle Plaine, Minnesota. Originally from a dairy farm in northern Wisconsin, my artistic journey began by drawing the markings on our cows. I went on to attend the University of Wisconsin–River Falls.
At 30 years old, I was in an auto accident that left me with traumatic brain and spinal injuries. Despite challenges like clouded thinking and hand tremors, I continue to create realistic art using watercolor, pen, and ink—focusing on nature, florals, and human figures.
My work today is shaped by both the traumas and blessings I’ve experienced. Throughout my life, imagination has been my outlet, my therapy, and my passion. As an artist, I strive to create pieces that evoke emotion and invite viewers to find their own meaning. I enjoy using vibrant color to express feeling, and black-and-white pointillism to bring high contrast and detail to my depictions of florals and the female form."
