About the Artist
Clare Sierra
Clare Sierra graduated from Luther College with a degree in art and spent much of her early career working in art-related fields. After experiencing a stroke in 2002, she turned to painting as a means of rehabilitation?learning to paint with her left hand and continuing to nurture her lifelong passion for creativity. Nature is a frequent source of inspiration for Clare, and some of her favorite subjects include animals and plants. Her love of drawing began as early as elementary school, when her natural ability first became evident. ?I?ve created art ever since then,? Clare says. ?I especially love working with oil paints.? Today, painting remains both a form of expression and a powerful tool for healing.
