About the Artist
Rossana Kelton
Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, Rossana (Rossi) has been blind in her right eye since birth. In 1972, she came to the United States. When she first arrived, she struggled to define her artistic style while learning to assimilate. She began to use innovative materials for her paintings. Since then, she has been working in oil, airbrushing and acrylic, and her work relates to her life and disability. Her sense of color, light, value and balance enable her to create innovative images of ordinary objects.
