About the Artist
My art is inspired by the fabric of my life and the society in which we live. It is a gift which comes from a higher place of inspiration. I want it to touch people, transmit hope and be uplifting to the human spirit. I was raised and educated in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area. I received my Master of Science Degree from MN State University, Mankato in Sociology. And, I am a member of the International Sociologists Honor Society. I have an extensive background in human services and am an Oblate (lay associate) with St. Benedict's Monastery. My interest in sociology and spirituality influences my art. I studied for many years with Peter Lupori and several other artists. My art is in many private collections, and I have exhibited extensively. I won the top festival award at the Christian Art Festival at Cross View Lutheran Church in Edina. I also won an award at Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts and have won other awards.
