A lot of my art is about the things that frighten me or others. In the natural world, many animals invoke a sense of disgust or terror, and I think those animals are beautiful. The fact they’re able to conjure such a strong reaction, I feel is art in itself. The natural world is an inspiration to me and will always have a place in my art. Sometimes I too, wish I could bring about such strong emotions by my very presence; maybe one day I will.
