About the Artist
Richelle Southerland
As a new artist, I've discovered that painting helps to distract me from the chronic pain and fatigue of multiple sclerosis. When I'm painting, my focus is on the blank canvas in front of me and the possibilities before me. For a short while, I feel free. My art comes from my heart, my gut, my frustrations, my determination. In my paintings, I hope you feel how I was feeling in that moment.
