Stephanie Oliver
I’ve been living with my diagnosis since 2008, and it took me almost 2 years to recover my life. Afterwards, I couldn’t even write my own name — my hands shook so badly. I took up art to help build up my hand strength and manage the tremors, I still get them, but it’s rare, and typically in my non-dominant hand. I still struggle with the physical pain and social stigma of my disability. When I’m in too much physical pain, I can still do bookbinding and digital painting. My three pieces I created as a triptych during a long period of physical pain and were done digitally since I could not pick up a paintbrush.
