About the Artist

Marcia Caretta

Marcia Caretta is a prolific printmaker! After discovering the medium in 2023, she has become a one-woman printshop, pulling prints for friends and family non-stop. Printmaking combines her three favorite things: drawing, stationary, and gifts for friends and family. Her most recent series features her favorite character: Hello Kitty. She designed 12 prints based on her favorite Hello Kitty coloring sheets and carved these designs into Styrofoam printing plates. She intends to publish a calendar with one Hello Kitty print per month, and has chosen this print to feature in the Art of Possibilities Art Show and Sale. She has explored printmaking through a residency with Highpoint Center for Printmaking in 2024, and primarily works out of the art studio at PRI - a day program serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
