About the Artist
Jenny Stice
Jenny Stice (she/they) is an educator and artist who has been practicing and teaching in Minnesota for over ten years. They believe that a meaningful art practice isn?t defined by age, ability, or experience and are passionate about guiding others to recognize their own creative potential. Stice?s current body of work began with a single line of lyrics that sparked an unexpected and ongoing exploration: painting rats in various forms. What began as a curiosity has evolved into a deeply personal and expressive journey. Over the past year, these rat paintings have become a space for processing emotions, experiences, and self-discovery?interpreting all of it through the lens of rat imagery. This creative process has also led Stice to a fuller understanding of themselves as a neurodivergent artist. Their work celebrates how a creative practice can be an extension of special interests, offering a space for joy, connection, and reflection.
