My art empowers me to reclaim my autonomy and find purpose within the discomfort of chronic pain and extended periods of being bed-bound. Intense feelings and emotions are translated into surrealistic elements, vibrant saturation, and fluid paint application. Beyond pain, I implement illusions, metaphors, and symbolism to acknowledge the positive things that also come from having a body, mind, and soul. There is wisdom within surrendering to the present; allowing it to guide you to authentic expression rather than suppression. I invite you as viewers to reflect on the gift of vulnerability as you actively participate within my own healing journey.
