I tumble broken glass such as this from jars. I can only imagine how it will be affected by the light source external and internal. This flower design shows the joy I get from putting together pieces of fractured things reflective of events in many of our lives. We pick up the pieces and go forward.
About the Artist
Michael Miessen
The year 2021 is my eighth year of living with a brain Injury, I am still exploring my capacity to express the journey. What helps me find satisfaction is putting together the pieces of my life and my art. One of the joys this year has been regaining memories. Past events were hidden away until recently. and recalling those events brings both light and dark emotions. It has been a process of re-framing how I remember the events. So too I am re-framing how I express myself through art.
