About the Artist
Susan Martin
"Hello World! My name is Susan Todd Martin, and I am a Bipolar Artist with 6 works in the Permanent Collection of The Ryan Licht Sang Bipolar Foundation, as well as many private collections internationally. As a Survivor of Violence and Trauma, I deal with PTSD and the effects of Traumatic Brain Injury, as well as Degenerative Bone Disease.
None of these challenges stop me from creating my own ""trippy"" style of art! As a self-taught artist, I use my process as a release for Manic episodes and to lift me out of depression. My work is often biographical, using raw emotion and brilliant color in striking juxtaposition.
I create my Art in my home studio, where I share my life with Kleo, my Shih-tzu, and ""Rescue Crew"" of Cats. I enjoy my flower garden where I grow Giant Zinnias and raise Monarch Butterflies."
