About the Artist
Kara Nelson
Photographer and conservationist Kara Lynn captures the breathtaking beauty of our planet. Growing up in Minnesota, her countless hours spent in nature fostered a deep love and appreciation for the environment. With a degree in biology, she has worked in various states on natural resources conservation, including fulfilling her childhood dreams in Hawaii as a scuba diver and instructor. After hiking over 650 miles across Spain, Kara discovered she had bilateral hip dysplasia requiring surgical intervention. These medical challenges have been her most formidable journeys yet. She is thankful for the compassionate professionals who have enabled her to look forward to many more adventures. Through her art, Kara aims to foster a healing atmosphere, encouraging others to step outside their comfort zones to explore the world, learn about diverse cultures, and embrace life.
