About the Artist
I continue to adapt to daily challenges as a survivor from a hemorrhagic stroke in 2008. Yes, venturing out into various environments, and seeking the ideal composition for the camera, can become formidable at times, and especially during this pandemic. Yet, when I leave the house, I take an attitude of optimism, patience, and a “free” eye so as to direct my attention, consciously to the “not so obvious” My intent is to frame that which immediately impacts the viewer’s eye. My subject matter will vary from floral, to urban landscapes, and the occasional abstract. I am largely self-taught in photography, applying technical aspects with the camera and computer as I select my images. My composition goals are to keep my images vivid with appropriate contrast for impact. Most of my images are captured with the digital camera, yet I still capture scenes with the film camera.
