About the Artist

Stephanie Oliver

I started artistic study in 2012 because I thought improving my hand strength through drawing would help control the shaking of my hand tremors. Now I very rarely get tremors and if I do, they are in my non-dominant hand. Art has helped me cope and I have gained back lost self-confidence. I am fascinated by plants and botanicals, and have been combining scientifically accurate botanical illustration with complex Zentangle patterns. I have completed the Denver Botanic Gardens School of Botanical Art & Illustration Certificate and the Society of Botanical Artists Distance Learning Program Diploma, and share my passion for art as a Certified Zentangle Instructor.
