Debra Westdorp
I come from a family of artists and designers. I have always had a creative spirit. My disability started interfering with my life choices at age 26. I was diagnosed with RSDS in 1982. I had a very physically demanding position and had to leave that job and learn a new way of life as a person with a disability. I learned very early on that I was not alone and joined several groups in the hopes of creating a better life for myself and others. After several treatments and surgeries I decided to explore a more creative way of life. Learning different ways of adapting to accommodate my limitations while creating beautiful art. My art has definitely helped me cope the pain and restrictive limitations of RSD or as it is now known Complex Regional Pain Disorder. The support of family and friends keep pushing me to try and find new ways to express the many ideas I have to create my style of artwork.I am excited to share my creation of the Moon Goddess!
