About the Artist
A few years ago, a trip to New York's Museum of Modern Art made me get serious about my work. A huge abstract painting was hanging on the main floor. I was intrigued by the contrast in colors. My work has a lot of contrast in colors too. Previously, I felt some dismay about not doing realistic art, but then, I realized, my designs in color were real art too, like the one at MOMA. As for process, I do it as it comes. First I paint the background, then I play around with it. My recent work, I think, shows a growth in confidence with strong designs and bold palettes. I have Asperger's syndrome, on the high end of the autism spectrum, which made relating to people difficult for me until I got the right medication, therapy, and did more socializing and taking Latin dance classes and attending dance parties. I aspire to do great art.
Art on display at Courage Kenny and online gallery.
