About the Artist

I aspire to be an artist because painting brings peace to my day. Despite having chronic pain, I refuse for pain to control my life. Watercolor is my favorite medium because it flows gracefully across the page. Like many circumstances in our life, watercolor is unpredictable. If I add too much water, it is hard to control the results. Like painting, I can’t control the circumstances of my life, but I can choose to go with the flow. I paint subjects that make me happy such as animals and nature. The action of painting often reflects my day. If I choose to focus on being calm, my mood will be reflected in my artwork. I hope that when people view my art, they too will feel calm and be encouraged!
