About the Artist
Annie Hickman
I am an amateur photographer and have been interested in photography from a very young age. I enjoy bringing it in to my work as a special education teacher and love seeing my students interpret the world through photos. I have a degenerative neurological condition that has inspired me to be more creative in getting the shots I am hoping for, and it is fun to experiment with new equipment. I love noticing the details in the world that surrounds us and trying to capture those. The wetlands behind my building is a never ending source of inspiration and always changing through the seasons and where I enjoy spending whatever time I can and catching snippets of the amazing variety of plants and animals.
