About the Artist
George Cassallo
I was born in Lima, Peru and came to the US when I was seven years old. My love for art, reading and sports kept me out of trouble while growing up in New York City. In my teens, my depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder began to emerge. I managed to work for 20 years before my illness became too much to handle. Recently, I have returned to college pursuing my BFA in Fine Art. My goal is to go back to work, hopefully in a museum or gallery. I also plan to self-publish my own children's books.
