Kae Pershon
Katie (Kae) Pershon is a Grand Rapids-based photographer, artist, and curator whose work focuses on capturing the abstract and sublime through the use of digital media. Drawing inspiration from her personal experiences with ADHD and Autism, she explores themes of identity and intersectionality, while striving to create work that is approachable and accessible to a wide audience. Kae uses her work to educate viewers about neurodiversity, challenging conventional notions of contemporary art and aesthetic appreciation. Her ongoing series, (less), uses photography to represent ADHD symptoms through different styles, including time blindness, emotional dysregulation, and memory.Her work has been exhibited across the Great Lakes region, including the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts, the Grand Valley State University Art Gallery, and the IU Kokomo Art Gallery.
