About the Artist

Sal Panasci

I draw inspiration from a wide range of subjects?florals, landscapes, and the many places I?ve traveled. My style is best described as traditional with contemporary influences. Rather than focusing on fine detail, my main goal is to capture the mood of the subject. Its specific color and individuality are what concern me most and what I am attracted to. I paint because it is energetic, exciting, and spirited, all of which causes me to become emotionally attached to my color palette, the texture of the paint, and the composition I choose to develop. With each of my paintings, the goal is to infuse character and visual interest, allowing the viewer to recognize a familiar subject in a new and exciting manner.
