My passion for nature photography emerged in 2004 after a life-long love of the outdoors and a long-time interest in photography. In 2007 I endured a massive hemorrhagic stroke, causing partial vision loss, a cognitive deficit and complete left sided paralysis. My photography was put on hold. Today I walk with a cane with restored vision and a clear mind. With partial paralysis and a balance deficit, steadying my camera and navigating rough terrain are significant challenges. My camera, with it’s internal 5-way stabilization, and adapting my adventures to accessible areas enables me to continue my passion. I still take refuge in being surrounded by the simple beauty of nature. In this very busy world, it’s easy to overlook the amazing beauty in the world which God has given us. It holds extraordinary treasures! Capturing this beauty through a camera lens and the creativity it offers continues to be a gift.
