Roxana Kian
Roxana Kian is a multi-disciplinary artist known for her distinctive designs of repeating triangular shapes that make their way on any surface she can find, including paper, canvas, clay, cardboard and even walls. Roxana takes a lot of inspiration from her surroundings, her heritage, family traditions and artists like Gustav Klimt and Georgia O’Keeffe. Roxana’s work has been featured on buttons, mugs, book covers and exhibited in local galleries."I love to make patterns with simple shapes and fill them with color. Sometimes my work is colorful and happy, sometimes it reflects the season, and other times it reflects my mood. If I’m feeling dark, my work is dark. If I’m feeling light, it’s bright and full of joy. I create to relax, to sort out any problems I have in my head and to bring something beautiful to others. Sharing my art with the world makes me feel loved, centered and better about myself."
