Annie Hickman
I am a teacher in Minneapolis who happens to also use a wheelchair and forearm crutch for mobility; I have a degenerative neurological condition that can be challenging! I have been interested in photography since I was very young and took a class at the Cleveland Museum of Art with my mom making sun prints with found objects. I had cameras since I was about 11 and have enjoyed taking pictures more seriously since high school. I am also a poet and frequently combine my photography with poetry. I love finding beauty even in the most "un-beautiful" places, hidden in plain sight.
